Biography

Caileigh Glenn is a postdoctoral Grand Strategy, Security, and Statecraft Fellow in the Security Studies Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the International Security Program at Harvard Kennedy School. Her research interests include topics at the nexus of international security and international political economy.

Her research examines the political effects of the use of financial coercion, particularly the use of targeted sanctions. She is currently working on a book project, "The Financialization of Foreign Policy: Targeted Financial Sanctions, Vulnerability, and Government Retaliation," which identifies the conditions under which governments retaliate in response to the imposition of targeted sanctions on subnational actors. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
